Running a Radeon HD 3500. 12.4a driver update.
I currently have the entire screen filled with what looks like a grey fog that permeates the entire screen. I can barely see anything in the play area. I can see my health bar and menus fine, but the 'visual' area with the town/players/monters/etc is completely covered in this grey crap. I had it when I was on 12.3 drivers. I updated to 12.4a. Same thing. I have tried disabling and enabling different settings and it did not do anything. I have also tried disabling Catalyst AI and it did not do anything. Please help. Thanks.
Same situation as me. I think we just have to wait for an answer. I have tried everything :(
Running Radeon HD 4200 - same issues with grey polygons, and when I enter an area it stretches some textures so they cover the visible area. and I get attacked by what seems to be a huge black triangle.
I'm not even having polygon issues. It's literally like there's a huge fog of mist covering my FOV.

For ATI 3000 and 4000 series cards with this issue, this workaround ought to help though it's a bit of a hassle.
1) Uninstall the currently installed video drivers. a. Use a driver cleaner app if necessary 2) Install 2011 drivers (11.5 is what was tested in-house). 3) Ensure the “Disable Catalyst A.I.” is unchecked. 4) Test out Diablo III to make sure no graphical issues are seen. a. If not, back track the drivers further. 5) Install the latest 12.3 drivers once again. (not 12.4) 6) The Catalyst A.I. option should now function properly, and the graphical distortion should be resolved. ____________________________________________________________________ Support Information Administrator
You guys seriously didn't test out the latest graphics card drivers on the cards? What kind of Q/A department do you run over there? Hasn't this game been in development for like 300 years as well?
To anyone experiencing this problem, I have found a temporary workaround:
The exact problem I experienced goes away when playing the game windowed instead of fullscreen. Not sure why, but it does. The polygon issues that other people were mentioning, though, still plague the game. But at least I can see what's going on.
Yes, I have noticed this too but I take a serious FP drop if I play the game windowed, so this is not very helpful for me.

I have tried several things updating drivers.uninstalling and using older ones..what the heck can I do to fix the grey polygon effects I keep getting.I tried everything I can imagine and.I have a Radeon HD 4350 card with DDR3 ram.
The card is not running hot, its not overclocked.
Omrakos! Hellllp!! I am guessing it is because I have an ATI card. My friend and roommate have the same cards but I think different brands.

Hey,
Not sure if it helps. I had the problem with the grey polygons and also some different layers being incorrectly rendered (also scrambled text in the bottom left chat window - sometimes only). I am using a Dell Inspiron 1564 (I think) that has an ATI Mobile HD Radeon 4300. I tried lots of different driver sets from ATI (about 5 in total)- none of them worked. I went to Dell and got the drivers for the graphics card from them. Uninstalled the old ones (using the drivers from Dell), rebooted, installed the ones from Dell. No problems - works great (even though the drivers are from 2010). Diablo 3 still gave me the warning about my drivers being out of date - I ignored it. I hope this helps some other peoples out there. Just try the drivers from the laptop manufacturer (they are generally slightly modified compared to the ones from ATI). Andrew.
